CHAPEL HILL - The baseball team advanced to the College World Series, but that was far from the only athletic news from Chapel Hill last week. Catch up with this week's installment of the GoHeels Weekly Primer.

Thursday's big news was that UNC won the women's Capital One Cup, given to the top women's athletic program in the nation for the 2012-13 academic year.


BASEBALL:  On Tuesday, the Tar Heels beat South Carolina to advance to the College World Series for the sixth time in the last eight years ... GoHeels' Bobby Hundley wrote a great feature about Parks Jordan ... The Tar Heels are making their 10th CWS appearance ... The Tar Heels dropped their NCAA Tournament opener against NC State, 8-1, on Sunday ... UP NEXT:  Carolina will face LSU on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in an elmination game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL:  Adam Lucas spoke with rising sophomore forward J.P. Tokoto in the Smith Center, and GoHeels TV was there ... Three former Tar Heels will take part in the U.S. National Team minicamp, including Ty Lawson, Harrison Barnes and Tyler Zeller ... The alums beat the current team in the first camp game of the summer ... GoHeels TV has highlights of the pickup game.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE:  Jenny Levy was named National Coach of the Year by Inside Lacrosse on Friday.

SWIMMING & DIVING:  GoHeels TV caught up with head coach Rich DeSelm.

TRACK & FIELD:  The Tar Heels posted an impressive spring semester in the classroom this year.
