Tar Heels In The NBA Summer League
CHAPEL HILL - Four former Univeristy of North Carolina players are playing in the NBA Summer League this year, including rookie Reggie Bullock (Los Angeles Cippers), John Henson (Milwaukee), Kendall Marshall (Phoenix) and Deon Thompson (Chicago).
Bullock was a first-round pick of the Clippers last month (25th overall) and makes his summer league debut on Friday against Atlanta in Las Vegas.
Henson is entering his second season with the Milwaukee Bucks, who will open summer league play on Saturday.
Marshall also is entering his second season as a point guard with the Suns, who also kick off summer play on Saturday.
Thompson, who completed his Carolina career in 2010 having played in more games than any player in NCAA history, has played in Europe since graduating from UNC. He is in camp with the Bulls this summer, who will open summer league play on Saturday.
Former Tar Heel Rasheed Wallace, recently hired as an assitant coach by Detroit, is on the bench this summer for the Pistons.
