Bernard Wins Obstacle Course Challenge

DALLAS - North Carolina's Giovani Bernard won the obstacle course event at the 2013 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday. Bernard completed the course in 27.7 seconds to edge Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree.

Bernard was a first-team All-ACC selection in 2012 and finished runner-up for conference player of the year honors.  He rushed for 1,228 yards in 10 games and had 19 touchdowns.

Teammate Sylvester Williams finished third in the lineman strength challenge.

The 15th annual event showcased 20 college football standouts competing in an exciting and entertaining skills challenge, which will re-air on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. ET on Feb. 17, as well as on ESPN at 4 p.m. ET on April 14. The ESPN broadcast team includes Joe Tessitore, Todd McShay, Andre Ware, Raul Allegre and Kaylee Hartung.

The Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge is one of seven live television properties owned and operated by Intersport.
