Carolina Returns To Boshamer Tuesday
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- No. 2 North Carolina returns home for a regular season ending five-game home stand beginning Tuesday when the Tar Heels host Appalachian State at 6 p.m.
The Tar Heels will be looking to avoid their first losing streak of the year on Tuesday after dropping their first weekend series of the year.
Carolina enters with a 45-6 overall mark on the year, while Appalachian State comes in at 27-19 after a series victory at Gonzaga over the weekend.
Freshman right-hander Reilly Hovis will take the mound for the Tar Heels on Tuesday as he will be making his fourth midweek start of the year. Hovis owns a 1-0 record and a 2.70 ERA in 20.0 innings of action, while holding opponents to a .173 average.
The Mountaineers have not named a starter for Tuesday.
The Tar Heels are 17-1 in midweek contests in 2013 and own a 32-3 home mark at Boshamer Stadium.
