ACC Tournament Schedule Announced
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The schedule for the 2013 ACC Tournament has been announced and the top-seeded Tar Heels will take on Miami on Thursday at 3 p.m., Clemson on Friday at 7 p.m. and NC State on Saturday 7 p.m.
The Tar Heels are the top overall seed in the tournament for the first time since 1990 and have a chance for redemption against three teams that knocked off the Tar Heels in the regular season.
Carolina claimed a 2-1 series win over Miami March 15-17 in Chapel Hill before claiming another series win over Clemson March 30-April 1 in Chapel Hill.
Saturday's contest will be a rubber match between Carolina and NC State as the teams each won a game of a series in Raleigh before Sunday's finale was washed out.
The Tar Heels have claimed five ACC Tournament titles with the last coming in 2007.
The tournament is set up with two pools of four teams playing a round robin format with the two pool winners advancing to Sunday's championship game. Pool A consists of North Carolina, NC State, Clemson and Miami. Pool B consists of Florida State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.
Every game will be televised live on the Regional Sports Network with Sunday's championship being televised on ESPN2.
