Emanuel, Moran Named All-America

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The North Carolina junior duo of Colin Moran and Kent Emanuel was named to All-America squads on Wednesday.

Moran earned Baseball America All-America honors as the first team designated hittter, while also garnering second team honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

Emanuel joined Moran on the NCBWA All-America squads as he earned third team honors.

Moran currently leads the country in RBIs with 88 on the year and is two shy of being the first ACC player to reach the 90-RBI plateau since Buster Posey accomplished the feat in 2002 for Florida State.

Emanuel is tied for the eighth-most wins in a single season with 11 and has posted the most career wins (28) by a junior in school history.

The pair of juniors were named the ACC Player and ACC Pitcher of the Year for their work on the diamond in 2013.
